FCK transfers 2025: Stars come, talents go – who stays?
The transfer summer of 2025 was an exciting chapter for 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which featured a number of new additions and departures. At 8 p.m. on September 1, 2025, the transfer window closed its doors and those responsible at the club took stock. Sports director Marcel Klos was optimistic: “We have achieved our goal of improving the team and creating development opportunities for our players,” he said.
The Red Devils have made some changes to their squad in the current transfer window. A large number of players left the club, many of them on loan. Frank Ronstadt was loaned out to FC Viktoria Köln, while Jannik Mause went to Rot-Weiß Essen. The loan deals of Maximilian Bauer and Tim Breithaupt, both back to their parent club FC Augsburg, are also worth mentioning. The return of Dickson Abiama to TSV 1860 Munich and Daisuke Yokota to KAA Gent also marks the end of their loans. Particular attention is being paid to the move from Ragnar Ache to 1. FC Köln and from Mahir Emreli to 1. FC Nürnberg.
New additions for a breath of fresh air
But it doesn't just stop at the departures: the Lauterers have also hit the transfer market heavily and signed some new faces. The new additions include Simon Asta from SpVgg Greuther Fürth, who is considered a free transfer, and Paul Joly, who comes from AJ Auxerre and is on loan until June 30, 2026. Enis Kamga, a talent from our own youth, and Maxwell Gyamfi from VfL Osnabrück are also new to the team. The club also invested in Semih Şahin and Naatan Skyttä; the latter moved from USL Dunkerque for an estimated 1.8 million euros.
The new additions are intended to bring a breath of fresh air into the team and increase performance on the pitch. Another highlight is the return of Jisoo Kim, who was also loaned out but is now set to set the course for a new future at FCK.
Financial balance and outlook
From a financial perspective, 1. FC Kaiserslautern has a positive balance in the 2025/2026 season. The transfer balance shows income of 7.30 million euros and expenses of 4.30 million euros, which corresponds to a whopping increase of 3 million euros. This economic stability could give the club the necessary flexibility for future transfers.
The coming year promises a lot of excitement and development for the Red Devils. With a mixed record of departures and arrivals, it will be interesting to see how the team performs on the pitch in the new season.
