Alarm in Neunkirchen: Fire brigade rescues residents from burning house!

There were several fires in Neunkirchen on Saturday night, which posed constant challenges for the fire department. How TV Middle Rhine Reportedly, the emergency services deployed five times to the city center and the Wellesweiler district. During these operations, seven people were rescued from a smoke-filled house.

The situation was particularly dramatic when a garbage can fire spread to a garage and also pulled smoke into an adjacent residential building. Firefighters who attended the scene woke up the sleeping residents and brought them to safety. A firefighter who happened to be passing by also helped with the evacuation. Luckily there were no injuries.

The police have started investigations into all five cases of arson. In the early hours of the morning, several garbage cans and a large paper container were cleared. The damage caused by the fires amounts to around 1000 euros, although the exact extent is still being determined, as Rheinpfalz reports.

More fires this weekend

On the same weekend, residents also reported a fire in an empty apartment building on Max-Braun-Straße. Alerted by a fire, the police, fire department and emergency services searched the entire street, but found no one in the building. The fire in the attic was quickly extinguished because no one was in the building at the time of the fire.

The fire department was already on duty on Saturday morning when witnesses noticed a burning garbage can in the city center. The fire spread quickly and spread to other garbage cans and an adjacent house. A quick intervention by the fire brigade prevented anything worse, but the damage is not insignificant, as traces of soot and crumbling plaster were visible on the house wall.

The police have started investigating the cause of the fires and are also asking for information from the public, which can be received by calling 06821 2030. The investigators would like to shed light on the matter and are hoping for witnesses who can help clarify the incidents.

Although the weekend for Neunkirchen started off mixed with these dangerous fires, it is thanks to the fire brigade and the quick reactions of the residents that anything worse could be prevented.
