New dealer Ferdinand inspires with Cash for Rares”!

On July 4, 2025, there was a breath of fresh air in the popular ZDF junk show “Bares für Rares” as Ferdinand Resul Adanir celebrated his debut as a new dealer in the team. The 32-year-old, who has been an antique dealer for many years, has made a name for himself thanks to his good eye for special pieces. Moderator Horst Lichter warmly introduced him and was very positive about Ferdinand's debut. He is now part of the colorful “Bares für Rares” family, which has been delighting viewers all over Germany since 2013, as Kino.de reports.

As part of his first episode, Ferdinand was particularly interested in an impressive gold-plated bow brooch by Christian Dior from 1964. This particular brooch belonged to a student from Landau in the Palatinate, who inherited it from her grandmother. Ferdinand opened the bid with 100 euros, and interest was great, with dealers Daniel Meyer and Jan Čížek also quickly getting in at 200 euros. Ultimately, Ferdinand won the coveted brooch, which he did not want to resell but rather give to his girlfriend. “I am very happy today about my successful debut,” said Ferdinand after the auction, reports SWP.de.

Ferdinand's dealer colleagues

In the show, Ferdinand meets a variety of experienced fellow traders. These include David Suppes, Daniel Meyer, Elke Velten and Jan Čížek. They all bring unique expertise and personalities that make the show so appealing. What is particularly exciting is that the show is broadcast on ZDF on weekdays at 3:05 p.m. and the chances of interesting pieces are high.

Ferdinand's focus is clearly on the vintage sector. In addition to the coveted brooch, he also bid on an old Schuco car from the 1950s and an antique vase. With a clear sense of what is special, it can be expected that he will regularly bid on “Cash for Rares”.

The return of Sarah Schreiber

In the midst of these changes there is also a reunion: dealer Sarah Schreiber returns after her maternity leave. The dynamics in the dealer team remain exciting and lively. Horst Lichter, host of the show, is looking forward to further appearances by Ferdinand and is excited to see what the future has in store for him.

Whether they are used to it or new, viewers can once again look forward to interesting bric-a-brac and exciting auctions presented by the various dealers. “Bares for Rares” remains what it always was – a place for treasures and stories that begin with the people behind the objects.
