This performance was the crowning conclusion of this year's summer concerts, which took place in the historic walls. The Frank-Loebsche Haus at Kaufhausgasse 9 has an eventful history. With its oldest building elements from the 15th century and Gothic style elements, it is a magnificent testimony to bygone times. It has been known as the “Zur Blum” inn since the 17th century, before it became the focus of the history of Landau's Jews. What is particularly striking is that it served as a “Jewish house” during the National Socialist tyranny, from which many Jewish citizens were deported.

The permanent exhibition on the history of Landau's Jews and changing art exhibitions invite visitors to engage with this important topic. The house not only offers cultural but also historical added value, which, in combination with events such as the summer concerts, arouses people's interest.

The summer concerts in the Frank-Loebschen Haus are part of a diverse cultural program offered in the Rhineland-Palatinate region. During the Culture Mile on the banks of the Rhine in Mainz, over 34,000 people attended various events ranging from music festivals to theater performances. The opening ceremony of the cultural summer showed once again how art and culture can bring people together, regardless of age and origin. In this context, smaller events, such as those in the Frank-Loebschen Haus, are also experiencing a renewed revival.
