Three women were robbed while shopping in Ludwigshafen – witnesses wanted!

In recent days, a worrying series of thefts have occurred in the Mitte district of Cologne. As part of our reporting, we would like to bring these incidents closer to you and at the same time encourage attentive readers to come forward if they have seen anything.

On Wednesday morning, around 11 a.m., a 44-year-old woman's wallet was stolen from her backpack in a drugstore on Ludwigstrasse. This is just the start of a series of thefts that occurred at short intervals. Just half an hour later, between 11:15 and 11:40 a.m., an 85-year-old woman in the Rhein-Galerie had a small bag and wallet that was hanging on her walker stolen. It seems as if the thieves are targeting vulnerable people. It continued on Thursday morning: between 10:35 and 10:50 a.m., a 76-year-old woman in a clothing discount store on Ludwigstrasse saw her wallet stolen from her handbag.

The police are investigating

The police are currently investigating whether the crimes are connected. Witnesses are urged to call the phone number 0621 963-23312 or by email KDLudwigshafen.KI3.K31@polizei.rlp.de to report. Any clue could help catch the suspected perpetrators.
