The anticipation in Mainz is increasing: from June 20th to 23rd, 2025, the city center will be transformed into a lively festival mile for St. John's Eve. This traditional event attracts not only the people of Mainz itself, but also numerous visitors from the surrounding area to the state capital of Rhineland-Palatinate. In total, four days full of activities are planned that offer a great community experience. These include an artists' market, an antiquarian book market and a diverse music program with well-known bands. Especially on the first day of the festival, June 20th, the celebrations start at 12 p.m. and last until late at night. The day opens at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21st.

- 20. Juni 2025: Auftakt mit Luther, Gutenberg und Drotschmann um 17:30 Uhr, gefolgt von Konzerten mit Bands wie The Hoochigans und Flo & Chris.
- 21. Juni 2025: Antiquarischer Johannis-Büchermarkt und Kinderkonzerte, sowie Auftritte von Reckless Roses und Hellfire.
- 22. Juni 2025: Jazzmusik mit Sigi’s Jazz Men und weiteren Künstlern.
- 23. Juni 2025: Clown Filou und eine spektakuläre Drohnen-Lichtshow am Abend.
The event times are as follows: On Friday and Saturday it is open from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to midnight and on Monday from 12:00 p.m. to midnight. Logistics and security
Of course, the journey is also taken into account: changes in traffic flow are to be expected from June 16th. Ludwigsstrasse will be closed until June 25th to ensure the safety of guests. In addition, the journey is made easier by increased frequency of mobility in Mainz. If you come by car, you can park in one of the parking garages such as Rheingoldhalle or at Schillerplatz. A special advantage: The parking ticket is also valid as a ticket for up to four accompanying persons during a 24-hour period.
