Vintage Soul opens the doors: Trendy fashion from Paris & Brussels!

Something is happening in Frankfurt: The new vintage shop “Vintage Soul” opened its doors at Alten Gasse 6 at the beginning of June 2025. Owner Serkan Tur is enthusiastic about the market launch and reports a promising customer base who are consciously interested in sustainable fashion. According to him, the businesses have a very special connection. “Vintage Soul” is not the first, but the third store from Tur - the first branch opened in Mainz in 2024, followed by another in Wiesbaden. These stores support each other and ensure that vintage fans in the region are well looked after.

“Vintage Soul” offers hand-picked clothing from metropolises such as Paris, Brussels and Antwerp, which gives the pieces on offer a special charm. The price range is something for everyone: T-shirts start at a fair 4.90 euros, while in winter you can also get a leather jacket for just under 80 euros. This not only heralds a new era of shopping, but also shows that vintage and second-hand clothing are very popular. As FNP reports, customers live from the awareness that vintage fashion is not only trendy, but can also make an important contribution to sustainability.

Sustainability and conscious consumption

The topic of sustainability is becoming increasingly important in the fashion industry. The challenges posed by the conventional fashion industry are enormous, as the Future Pact for Universities states. High water consumption, the use of chemicals and massive amounts of waste caused by fast fashion are the issues that are causing many consumers to rethink. This is where vintage fashion comes in: second-hand clothing extends the life cycle of the garments, invites you to think about your own consumption and supports a sustainable change in fashion consumption.

By choosing vintage, you are making a conscious decision against mass production and reducing the demand for newly produced goods. At a time when a lot of clothing ends up in landfills, buying used clothing offers a sensible alternative that is not only dusty but also stylish. Each vintage piece has its own story and allows consumers to express their individuality.

Further offers in the vintage sector

But it’s not just “Vintage Soul” that has discovered the ongoing trend. The established chain Vintage Revivals with several locations in Frankfurt and the surrounding area also offers selected items from past decades. Their mission: give old clothes a second life and create contemporary looks. The stores are literally the hotspot for everyone who is keen on designer labels from Prada to Dolce & Gabbana.

In Frankfurt itself there are sales outlets in Sachsenhausen, Bornheim and other cities where you can take action from Monday to Saturday. This development is also reflected in regional demand - more and more people are focusing on sustainability in fashion and therefore have a good knack for both style and responsibility. The hour of vintage fashion has come – and it seems as if Frankfurt is taking a pioneering role here.
