Things are going strong again in Neuwied! Today, July 12, 2025, the Deichstadtfest has transformed the city into a pulsating festival mile. After some adjustments due to construction work, the event did not take place in front of the former main post office as usual, but in the parking lot on Luisenstrasse. This new location brings with it a fresh atmosphere that is enthusiastically received by the many visitors. How rhein-zeitung.de reported, the opening evening already attracted many newcomers to the city center and provided them with a colorful mix of musical performances.
The Deichstadtfest runs from July 10th to 13th and transforms Neuwied's city center into a huge open-air stage. And the best part? Entry is free for all visitors! The variety of music genres on offer, ranging from rock and pop to indie, pop and reggae, ensures that there is something for every taste. The festival will take place again next year, so anticipation is already building. Loud neuwied.de 100 hours of live music and five stages will ensure a varied program.
A paradise for music lovers
Particularly noteworthy are the headliners, who were not announced this time, but who still deliver consistently strong performances. This year's crowd pullers include the Linkin Park tribute band From Zero, the songwriter Batomae and the “DisCoband” Loss of Control, who are reviving the 90s. Teddy Schmacht will also delight listeners with his Udo Jürgens program. These acts, which also provided a lot of joy in 2023, show that the selection of artists is tailored to a broad audience.

And of course the classic festival bratwursts should not be missing. For all Northern Lights lovers and night owls, there is also a nightly bus shuttle service that goes to the districts of Neuwied and Bendorf-Sayn, making travel to the festival even easier.
