Autumn cultural events: Experience art, sound and light in Pirmasens!

What is actually happening in Pirmasens and the surrounding area? There is currently an exciting range of cultural events ranging from light installations and sound performances to jazz and true crime. Despite autumnal temperatures and occasional rain, the region around Pirmasens invites you to discover the diverse range of events on offer. A highlight will be the performance about space and time, which will take place on Friday evening, September 12th, from around 8 p.m. at the Pirmasens Forest Cemetery. Here visitors can expect exciting insights into the artistic exploration of these topics.

However, cultural life in Pirmasens is much more than just outdoor events. The Dynamicum Science Center is an absolute must for technology and science enthusiasts. Since it opened in 2008, it has established itself as the first and only science center in southwest Germany. On an area of 4,000 square meters there are around 160 interactive experimental stations that deal with movement, natural sciences and technology. Visitors can playfully explore physical phenomena and experience how exciting science can be. Particularly impressive is the “Band of Movement”, which runs over 480 meters through the exhibition and offers insights into the history of important people from Pirmasens. Innovative technologies such as augmented reality complement the experience and make it even more interesting. If you want more when visiting the Dynamicum, you will find further exciting exhibits in the adjacent Strecktalpark.

A cultural centerpiece

Another important point of contact for those interested in art is the ALTE POST forum in the heart of Pirmasens. This is where history connects with the present. The works of the Pirmasens artist Heinrich Bürkel and a special Hugo Ball cabinet, which is dedicated to the founder of Dadaism, can be admired in two permanent exhibitions. But it's not just the permanent exhibitions that offer a reason to visit; The changing special exhibitions always bring a breath of fresh air and new perspectives on art and culture to the forum. The stylish venue is also ideal for romantic weddings in a specially designed wedding room.

Invitation to discovery

This cultural diversity makes Pirmasens a special place for locals and visitors alike. Whether you let yourself be captivated by a sound performance or visit the interactive stations in the Dynamicum – the possibilities are almost endless. It is therefore worth taking a trip to the region, which offers a colorful program and many highlights.
