Yesterday evening, July 10, 2025, a fire broke out in Daleiden at around 8:10 p.m., which quickly caused a stir. A hedge caught fire, but thanks to the attentive residents who noticed the fire early, something worse was prevented. These citizens kept the flames under control until the fire department arrived, so that the Daleiden fire department's emergency services were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Fortunately, no significant damage was caused and no one was injured.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but the Prüm police station has already started investigating the cause of the fire. Witnesses who can provide information are asked to call 06551/9420 or email pipruem@polizei.rlp.de. The responsible police station is located at Tiergartenstrasse 8 in Prüm.

The third incident was particularly bizarre, involving a 66-year-old car driver and an 8-year-old child. The child tried to cross the road in front of a bus and sustained minor injuries. Numerous rescue workers, including three DRK ambulances and a rescue helicopter, were deployed during the operations.
