Dario Rapp wins the criterion championship: RSC Kempten dominates in Bellheim!
The RC Silber-Pils Bellheim RTF Criterion Championship caused a lot of excitement and exciting competitions last weekend. On a 1.1 kilometer long lap, which covered a total of 77 kilometers, the cycling-enthusiastic participants fought for the top places and much more. The event took place on August 10, 2025 and was supported by the excellent organization of RC Silber-Pils Bellheim, which has established itself as an important player in the region.
Dario Rapp stood out among the active drivers, securing the championship title in the Continental category. His colleagues Moritz Augenstein and Patrick Reissig were also at the start and offered the spectators a thrilling competition. The dominance of RSC Kempten, one of the most successful cycling clubs in Germany with over 800 members, was clear this time too. The volunteer work and organization of the event were remarkable, even though some of the Bellheimers' helpers did not actively take part in the race.
Success story of RSC Kempten
The RSC Kempten is not only a large community, but also highly active in sports. In recent years, Dario Rapp has repeatedly demonstrated his skills; he had already won the German Criterion Championship for elite amateurs in 2024. In addition, the up-and-coming Sina van Thiel is one of the club's talents, who took a respectable 6th place in the cross-country race at the last MTB World Championships. The club offers a wide range of sports, covering racing, mountain biking, gravel and even triathlon, to name just a few.
The aim of RSC Kempten is to offer people of all ages and abilities a home. The club is particularly committed to the youth sector, with groups for MTB kids and racing youth from the age of 6, who often make the leap into the professional camp - like Michael Schwarzmann, who now rides for the UCI ProTeam Team Israel-Premier Tech. The club also organizes numerous events, including the Allgäu Tour for touring riders and cycling criteria for licensed riders.
The enthusiasm for cycling
The RTF Criteria Championship not only showcased the athletes' performance, but also showed how important the support of local sponsors is for young cyclists. The regular training camps and weekly rides, which attract both racing cyclists and mountain bikers, strengthen the community and ensure a lively exchange among members.
Overall, the event was a complete success and the RSC Kempten once again underlined its leading position in German cycling. In the end, all that remains to be said is: The year 2025 has only just begun for the club and its athletes, and we can look forward to seeing what successes they will achieve!
