Worms: Jazz & Joy Festival shines in new splendor thanks to strong partners!

The anticipation for the “Worms: Jazz & Joy” festival is increasing! This year, the popular event is receiving valuable support from numerous partners who together ensure an unforgettable enjoyment of music and conviviality. The organizer would like to thank, among other things, Rhineland-Palatinate Cultural Summer of the Rhineland-Palatinate Foundation for Culture, which has emerged as an important support partner. Regional funding brings a breath of fresh air into the cultural landscape and supports numerous initiatives.

Other sponsors include Adolf Schuch GmbH, Rheinhessen Sparkasse and Volksbank Alzey-Worms eG. Companies such as the Timbra Group and RENOLIT SE also show their commitment to culture in Rhineland-Palatinate. The exciting event will be made possible thanks to a strong media team, including the Nibelungen courier and RPR1, have been brought even more into the spotlight.

Promotion of cultural projects in rural areas

But that's not all! Also the federal program “Aller.Land – shaping together. Strengthening structures.” represents a valuable building block for cultural development in structurally weak rural regions. The aim is to promote cultural projects that actively involve citizens. Up to 1.5 million euros per region will be made available in two phases, with up to 40,000 euros per provider being incurred in the development phase. Applications can be submitted until September 29th Ministry of Family, Women, Culture and Integration submitted and the contact for expressions of interest is available.

The funding is aimed at various cultural projects, including cultural networks, festivals and citizens' councils. Local administrations and cultural associations are called upon to participate actively and to design cultural projects together with the population. This initiative is particularly important to strengthen cultural diversity and democratic participation in the regions.

Cultural highlights in Rhineland-Palatinate

Kultursommer zeigt, dass die Menschen in Mainz die Angebote begeistert angenommen haben. Mit 34.000 Besucher:innen am Rheinufer und gut besuchten Veranstaltungen im Kulturzentrum und den Mainzer Kammerspielen wurde das Motto „Forever Young?“ überzeugend umgesetzt. Kulturministerin Katharina Binz und Oberbürgermeister Nino Haase lobten die gelungene Integration der Kulturmeile ins Stadtbild und das großartige Wetter rundete das Erlebnis ab. Nach vielen Jahren fand das Eröffnungsfest des Kultursommers wieder in Mainz statt und brachte ein abwechslungsreiches Programm für die gesamte Familie mit sich.
