Rob Halford and Judas Priest: Tour 2025 through Germany starts!

A touch of legend is wafting through Germany as Rob Halford, the iconic singer of Judas Priest, is going on a big tour in 2025! After the recent success of their Latin American tour, the band is already looking forward to concerts in Europe, and German fans can look forward to first-class live performances.

Rob Halford, born on August 25, 1951 in Sutton Coldfield, has been the heart and soul of Judas Priest since 1972 - with a short break from 1991 to 2003. The more than captivating vocal range of four and a half octaves not only makes the hearts of metal fans beat faster, but is also the result of his fascinating journey. Halford had no formal singing lessons, but was essentially self-educated. In his early years as a musician, he was inspired by various singing styles and preferred to train his voice while driving.

A musician with vision

A major influence on Halford was undoubtedly the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company, particularly their famous production of Orpheus in the Underworld. This early impression may explain why Halford appreciates the parallels between rock and opera, an aspect he is happy to share with his young colleagues. “Experimentation and the pursuit of vocal goals are essential for me,” says Halford, who inspires the young metal generation with his singing style.

As part of Judas Priest, Halford shaped rock history with his powerful voice and striking stage presence. From the band's first performances in 1973 to the recent hits of the album "Invincible Shield", the band has continued to grow in creativity and has sold more than ten million records. In 2022 the team was even inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame.

Tour dates and future projects

The upcoming tour offers fans numerous opportunities to experience Halford and his band live. The dates have already been fixed: June 17th in Stuttgart, followed by an appearance in Bad Vilbel on June 18th. Munich and Oberhausen are scheduled for July 13th and 20th. Judas Priest will also be at the Scorpions' 60th anniversary party in Hanover on July 5th.

Halford is not only musically active, but also a role model for many. His openness about personal challenges, such as his battle with alcohol and drug abuse and overcoming prostate cancer, has inspired millions. “It is a responsibility that comes with my influence,” he reflects, encouraging young talents to develop their voices and take care of their health.
