Bremen triumphs with a clear 3-0 and consolidates their lead in the table!

On October 27, 2025, the Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) will look at the current table after an exciting 6th matchday. SV Werder Bremen remains unchallenged at the top. The team achieved a clear 3-0 win against TSV Bad Königshofen, which still leaves them with only one defeat this season. Mattias Falck, who plays for Bremen, attributes the success to the strong self-confidence of his team. Particularly noteworthy is Marcelo Aguirre's narrow but decisive victory, who triumphed 3-2 against Bastian Steger in the deciding set.

While Bremen is shining, another player, Daniel Habesohn, is left behind: after being 2-0 down, he still had to admit defeat 2-3 against Kirill Gerassimenko. Andre Bertelsmeier also couldn't score against Mattias Falck and clearly lost his game 0-3. The state champion is still in the spotlight of the league.

The other results at a glance

The competition is not neglected. While Bremen played to its strengths, 1. FC Saarbrücken also secured a 3-0 victory over Post SV Mühlhausen on the same match day. Ivo Quett's debut for Mühlhausen was particularly noteworthy, but he had no chance against Eduard Ionescu. Mühlhausen has a record of 6:6 points, while Saarbrücken can boast their fourth win of the season.

Grünwettersbach was less lucky and lost 2:3 against Fulda. Here Hiroto Shinozuka shone with two individual wins, including a nerve-wracking win against Jonathan Groth (3:2). Unfortunately, Tobias Hippler and Damian Floro couldn't win any of their games, which contributed to the team's defeat.

A look at the table

The TTBL table is as follows after the 6th matchday:

Place team Points
1 SV Werder Bremen 12
2 Bad Koenigshofen 10
3 Bad Homburg 10
4 Saarbrücken 10
5 Fulda 8
6 Grünwettersbach 6
7 Dortmund 4

A special aspect is the use of players from the TTBL on the international stage. The European Team Championships recently took place in Zadar, where three of the four podium teams presented at least one player from the TTBL. France, as the new title holders, competed without players from German clubs, while nine players from the TTBL were awarded medals - that corresponds to a third of all participants from the top German league. This is another sign of the strength and importance of the TTBL in the international context.

From a sporting perspective, there are many exciting weeks and months ahead of us. If you want to stay high in the TTBL, you have to show continuous performance. Stay tuned as we'll keep you updated on developments in the league! Further information can be found at mytischtennis.de and tischtennis.de.
