Saarbrücken celebrates blues and Celtic sounds: Festival from November 7th!
A musical highlight is coming! On November 7th and 8th, 2025, the Breite63 cultural center in Saarbrücken will open its doors for the 8th Saarbrücken Blues and Roots Festival. Under the motto “Nantes – Naoned”, this event will not only attract lovers of blues and world music, but also celebrate a significant connection to the twin city of Nantes, which has been connected to Saarbrücken for 60 years. As saarbruecken.de reports, the festival is not to be missed!
Special performances include Blues Night on Friday and Celtic Night on Saturday. At the Blues Night, visitors can look forward to performances by Arnaud Fradin & His Roots Combo and the Philippe Ménard Band. Arnaud Fradin, an experienced musician from Nantes, brings authentic Mississippi blues to the stage with his acoustic quartet. The lovingly put together program ranges from timeless classics from blouse history to our own pieces. The line-up promises a feast for the ears - including guitarist and singer Arnaud Fradin, blues harmonica professional Thomas Troussier and Igor Pichon on double bass.
A musical spectacle in a class of its own
The second day of the festival, the Celtic Night, brings Celtic sounds to the stage with the Guillaume Blain & Claire Leyzour Quintet and the Trio ERIS. The duo Blain and Leyzour delight with traditional Breton music that is not only danceable, but also makes the audience laugh with humorous announcements. The trio ERIS from the Rennes-Nantes region, known for its fresh style, will also captivate the audience - a hearty mix of accordion, saxophone and the distinctive voice of singer Mannaïg Le Guével ensures the best atmosphere!
The city administration of Saarbrücken supports this festival, which has gained a permanent place in the event calendar in recent years. Tickets are available either directly on site at Café63 at Breite Straße 63 or online via the website www.breite63.de. The festival tickets cost 29.00 euros, with a discount only 25.00 euros. Day tickets are available for 19.00 euros or 15.00 euros reduced. That's a good deal for an event that will certainly be remembered for a long time by blues lovers and music lovers from near and far!
Don't miss it, there's a lot to hear and experience - the event calendar on November 7th and 8th should definitely be reserved for the Saarbrücken Blues and Roots Festival.
