Flensburg dance couples rock the start of the tournament: silver and fourth place for RRC!

The starting signal for the 2025/2026 dance season was given in Ried last weekend. The young talents of the RRC Flying Saucers presented themselves in impressive form at their first tournament and the spectators were thrilled. The expectations of the participants were high and they were not disappointed.

Particularly in the spotlight were Emma Lotta Balow & Jesper Jung as well as Mila Maltusch & Milan Sartison, both of whom were promoted to the student class of competitive sports. After a season in the 'beginner class student 2', the two couples have now gained their first experiences in the new class and impressed in three disciplines: gymnastics, trampoline and dance. Thanks to their excellent performances in the repechage round, both couples reached the final of the best seven competitors.

Successful placements

The final brought exciting moments: Mila and Milan took 4th place out of a total of 18 dance couples, while Emma and Jesper secured 2nd place and were proud to take home the silver trophy. Another reason for the young group to be happy was the success of Emilia Sartison & Henri Bo Heinrich, who achieved second place in the junior class Student 1, while the youngest couple, Karla Maltusch & Samuel Witt, even took first place. Trainer Aleksandra Maltusch was pleased with an extremely positive result.

The tournament was not only a sporting success, it also showed that dance sports, as an extremely multifaceted discipline, produce many young talents. Whether standard dances, Latin American dances or rock'n'roll, dance sports captivate people with its different facets. As is usual at events organized by the German Dance Sports Association (DTV), the dance performances were judged by judges who evaluated the couples according to various criteria. These include, among other things, music, balancing and movement Wikipedia.

Next challenges

The next challenge is just around the corner: the next tournament will take place in Winsen/Aller on St. Nicholas Day. The couples will certainly do everything they can to further improve their performance and position themselves even better in the rankings. It is important to prevail against high competition, because ranking positions in the DTV are crucial for participation in German championships and other important competitions.

The dance rankings are updated regularly and take into account the best results from the last few months. It turns out that the DTV rankings contribute to strengthening the dance sports community and, above all, motivates young talent to continuously improve dance sport.

The successes and the numerous talents in dance sport are proof that Ried has a lively and committed dance scene that will certainly provide many more highlights in the future. It will be exciting to see what the coming months will bring!
