Two years of passion for sailing: looking back and new challenges!

More than 700 days have now passed since the passion for sailing was once again the focus. On August 1, 2021, a new chapter began for many who surrender to the waves and wind. During this time, not only were numerous stories researched and written, but countless like-minded people were also met. We went on trips again and again - be it to Damp, Schilksee, Flensburg or Heiligenhafen - and the German Baltic Sea coast was not neglected. These experiences were recently celebrated at the famous boot in Düsseldorf, where the best yachts on the continent were honored.

In the pulsating atmosphere of the boot Düsseldorf water sports trade fair, an important event, the FLAGSHIP NIGHT, took place. The winners of the “European Yacht of the Year 2024” (EYOTY) and the “European Powerboat of the Year 2024” (EPOTY) were honored here. Particularly noteworthy is the award that Kirsten Neuschäfer received as the first woman to win a non-stop regatta around the world. This was the 21st EYOTY awards and the 18th for EPOTY, both organized by a jury consisting of test managers and editors-in-chief of more than twenty specialist magazines from Europe.
