Wave of break-ins: tools stolen from company vehicles in Büchen!

In the darkness of the night, several company vehicles were targeted by thieves in the region around Büchen and Siebeneichen. In the evening hours of October 27th to the morning of October 28th, 2025, unknown perpetrators broke into a total of five small trucks and stole valuable tools and machines.

The Ratzeburg police report that three of the vehicles that were broken into were parked on Nüssenau Weg, on Bahnhofstrasse and in Liperiring in Büchen. The remaining two cars were on Büchener Weg in Siebeneichen. The perpetrators' criminal scheme was simple but effective: they manipulated the van locks to gain access to the interior.

Unfortunately, no information on the amount of damage caused is being accepted yet, and the investigation by the Büchen police is in full swing. The officers do not rule out a connection to the crime and are looking for witnesses. Anyone who noticed suspicious people or vehicles during the period in question is urged to contact the police on 04155/4989-0 or by email to Buechen.PSt@polizei.landsh.de.

Local investigation and appeal for witnesses

The crimes were committed between 5 p.m. on Monday and 9 a.m. on Tuesday, which left enough time for the perpetrators to act unnoticed. It is not the first time the region has fallen victim to theft, further fueling concern in the community. The police have already launched an appeal to the public to collect possible information. Every little detail can help solve these crimes, and it is important that citizens are aware of this responsibility.

In an environment where security concerns are growing, it is crucial that the community stays together and vigilant. Rumors about possible suspects are making the rounds, but concrete information is scarce. Community safety is a shared concern and only through collaboration can it be increased.

The incidents also cast a shadow on the region's economy, as tools and machines are essential for the existence of many companies. The theft of such equipment could not only result in financial losses, but also jeopardize the operations of the affected companies.

Good advice for all entrepreneurs in the region: Make sure your vehicles are well insured. Prevention is the best protection against such criminal activities. Stay vigilant and report suspicious activity immediately!
