Action camp in Lübeck: Together for anti-fascism and climate justice!

From September 19th to 21st, 2025, the Lübeck market will be the venue for an important action camp dedicated to anti-fascism and climate justice. The Lübeck local groups of Fridays for Future, Psychologists for Future, Ende Gelände and the Lübeck Refugee Forum invite everyone interested to take part in this event. In addition to workshops and lectures, the organizers also offer yoga sessions and film screenings to create space for exchange and creation. HLLive reports that the event was launched as part of Fridays for Future's nationwide climate action weekend.

A central theme of the camp is the threat to the “Bartelsholz” through deforestation, which not only worsens the environment but also numerous causes of escape. The event is aimed at anyone who wants to find out more about activism or experience solidarity. The clear rules of conduct are important: racism, sexism, queerphobia and other forms of discrimination have no place here. An awareness team is available to provide support to promote respectful interaction.

A look at the colorful program

The evening program also promises highlights: The film “No Land for Nobody” by SeaEye will be shown on Friday evening, followed by an “Open Stage” on Saturday evening from 8 p.m., where all participants can make their contributions. These activities are intended not only to entertain, but also to stimulate dialogue about important topics. Daily updates about the program will be provided on the organizers' Instagram accounts so that no one misses the new information.

It is clear that the action camp is more than just an event; it is an expression of a broad social commitment. In recent years, the Fridays for Future movement has not only focused on climate protection, but has also intensified the fight against fascist tendencies. In Germany, millions of people have been demonstrating against the AfD and for a democratic society for weeks. This makes it clear that climate justice and human dignity are closely linked. Fridays for Future highlights that the AfD not only denies the climate catastrophe, but also actively works against the rights of minorities.

The dangers posed by extreme political positions are serious. A recently uncovered meeting between AfD politicians and right-wing extremists has shown that there are plans to deport people who are discriminated against because of their skin color or origin. In the face of such threats, it is more important than ever to fight for an inclusive and just society.

The event aims to send a strong message with a colorful camp program and a clear commitment to mutual respect. Organizers hope to promote new ideas to combat climate catastrophe and discrimination, and create a sense of community that protects against isolation. On the last weekend in September in Lübeck there is something for everyone who wants to advocate for a sustainable and just world.
