Early Christmas magic: Advent markets start in Neumünster!
A lot is happening in the Neumünster region because the pre-Christmas season is just around the corner! Even before the official start of Advent on November 30th, some magical Christmas markets are opening here that will create a festive atmosphere. There is great anticipation and several events invite you to enjoy the holidays with handicrafts, regional delicacies and social gatherings. KN Online reports that the first Advent market will take place on November 29th at Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Neumünster. There is a lot to discover there from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.: handicrafts, cute crafts, mulled wine and grilled sausage are not to be missed. The event is organized by the Einfeld district advisory board and the “Leben in Einfeld” association, and a festive lighting of the large Christmas tree heralds the magic of Advent at 4 p.m.
But that's not all! On the same day, November 29th, the Flemhuder Christmas market will also take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Here, visitors can look forward to musical performances, puppet shows in the church and a sociable atmosphere around the historic stone church. Coffee and cake are also offered and round off the celebration.
A celebration for the whole family
On November 22nd, the magic of winter will be celebrated in the Flintbek outdoor pool, where artisans will present their handmade gifts from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Here the little ones are also invited to take part in children's crafts. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the event will be moved to the Eiderwald gym. The historic Schlotfeldthof barn in Kleinflintbek will also be opening its Christmas bazaar on this day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Over 20 years of tradition await visitors: jewelry, pottery, photo cards, jams and Christmas pastries are on offer.
A special highlight is the barn café with homemade cakes and tarts, while the men's cooking group prepares hearty dishes. There are hands-on activities for the children such as making candles and baking bread on sticks - fun is guaranteed here! The proceeds from the cake buffet and drinks stand benefit the Lütt Huus community association and the Kleine Flintsteine daycare center.
Variety of Christmas markets
The region's Christmas markets are not only a place to buy gifts, but also create a festive atmosphere where community is celebrated. Merry Christmas highlights that artisans present their creative wares here, often reflecting the culture and history of the region.
