Young carpenters celebrate their acquittal: Proud of their master craftsman certificate!

The acquittal of the carpenters took place today in a festive setting at the Eskildsen car dealership in Steinburg. Nine talented carpenter journeymen received their well-deserved journeyman certificates. A celebratory atmosphere arose when head master Hans Lorentzen opened the event and invoked the basic values of the craft with traditional blows on honor, truthfulness, justice and loyalty. The SHZ reported this and focused on the pride that the new carpenters should feel for their profession.

The honored journeymen – including Mirco Böge, Rieke Jürgensen, Carlotta Klüver and many more – had achieved a lot in the past three years. Chief Master Lorentzen reflected on the challenges and personal development that each individual had to go through. “You have to prove yourself and develop yourself every day,” said Lorentzen, adding that the graduates are now taking the step towards freedom.

Honors and recognitions

Honor where honor is due! Honorary master master Ralf Möller was awarded the golden master craftsman’s certificate for his many years of work in the carpentry trade. Möller expressed his joy that the young people can now start their professional future and encouraged them to be proud of their achievements. A message that has great meaning in the industry.

A look outside the box shows that acquittals are becoming more and more important in the carpentry industry. A similar event recently took place in Berlin, where 191 of 208 participants in the journeyman's examination were successful. In brilliant weather, around 500 guests sat down in the church and celebrated the graduates. Edgar Schmidt-Narischkin, honored here as the best in the guild, spoke, among other things, about the support from the guild and the challenges that were successfully overcome. His words, like those of Jürgen Wittke from the Chamber of Crafts, emphasized the need for lifelong learning.

Festive celebrations and prizes

In Berlin, it wasn't just the bachelors who picked up their examination certificates, the specialists in wood processing were also able to boast a high success rate. The event ended with a group photo and a happy celebration in front of the Passion Church, which clearly reflected the good mood among the participants.

The importance of such celebrations is underlined by the committed work of the guilds. While the Cologne carpenters enjoyed their honors at the Eskildsen car dealership, the Berliners looked back on numerous awards for outstanding achievements. In both cases, the focus is on craftsmanship – a community of values that embodies both tradition and innovation.

These are such strong events that give new impetus to the carpentry trade in Germany. The future looks bright and young carpenters are ready to leave their mark on the industry. Whether in Steinburg or Berlin, the enthusiasm for carpentry can be felt everywhere. And the message is clear: Be proud of your job!
