In the last few days, rail traffic between Hamburg and Sylt has experienced significant restrictions. How NDR reported that the trains between Westerland and Keitum have been completely stopped due to a failed signal box. The exact circumstances and date of the restoration of train services remain unclear. In addition, a second disruption affects the RE6 regional express in the Nordfriesland district, where damage to a bridge is expected. Passengers must prepare for delays and cancellations between Bredstedt and Husum, which are expected to last until 6 p.m. In order to defuse the situation, a replacement bus service is being prepared.
The problems in rail traffic are not only limited to the route between Hamburg and Sylt. Trains are also affected in Neuruppin. Loud MOZ Construction work on the signal box in Neuruppin is leading to train cancellations on the RE6 and RB55 lines. The routes between Wittenberge, Neuruppin, Hennigsdorf and Berlin-Charlottenburg as well as between Kremmen/Velten and Hennigsdorf are affected. While the majority of cancellations are expected in the evening and night hours, it is advised to use alternative connections and the replacement buses offered, as some stops are not directly at the train stations.

The train cancellations on the RE6 in Berlin continue. Restrictions are planned for October 28th and November 4th in the late night hours. Passengers must expect interruptions, especially between Berlin-Charlottenburg and Berlin-Spandau. In addition, on the nights of the 29th/30th. October and 4th/5th November restrictions on various sections of RE6.
