Impressive district exhibition in Neustadt: discover the diversity of art!
On November 4, 2025, art lovers in Neustadt in Holstein can expect a very special event: the 34th district exhibition of the Ostholstein Visual Arts Association in the Hans Ralfs House for Art and Culture. This exhibition shows an impressive range of regional art and offers a platform for 41 artists from the districts of Ostholstein, Plön, the Duchy of Lauenburg and Hamburg.
The opening took place last Saturday and you can already look forward to impressive works of art. A total of 67 exhibits are on view, including both abstract and representational paintings, experimental collages, wood and ceramic sculptures, as well as digital photography and conceptual graphics. This makes the exhibition a true delight for all the senses and offers something for every taste.
Opening hours and special events
The exhibition will remain open until November 28th. Particularly practical: Visiting hours are Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. with the presence of some artists. Another highlight is the additional event at which Albrecht Zumbruch presents historical painting techniques on Sundays. This is a unique opportunity to learn the exciting background of art and maybe even learn a trick or two.
Anyone who would like to cast their vote can do so for the Audience Prize, which is worth 300 euros. Here you have the opportunity to have a say on site which work of art you particularly like. Whether painting, photography or sculpture – every visitor has the chance to actively participate in what is happening.
Ostholstein Fine Arts Support Association
The Ostholstein Visual Arts Association has been committed to promoting art in the region since it was founded in 1991. In addition to exhibitions, the association also organizes workshops and excursions to expand the understanding of art and promote creativity. The relocation of the traditional exhibition venue from the district hall in Eutin to Neustadt this year brings a breath of fresh air and is intended to further stimulate interest in regional art.
The 34th district exhibition in the Hans-Ralfs-Haus is not only a showcase of creativity, but also an invitation to discover and support the diverse art scene in the region. So if you don't have any plans yet, you should definitely stop by and get an impression of the creative diversity for yourself! Information about this can be found on the website of Der Reporter.
