Plön district: K53 closed in November – diversions required!

The traffic situation in the Plön district will be put to the test in the coming days, specifically on November 5th and 6th. District road 53, which runs between Preetz and Schellhorn, will be completely closed for urgently needed repair work. As the Kiel News reported, the closure mainly affects individual damaged areas that need to be repaired. However, a comprehensive road renovation is not planned.

Construction work will take place daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is weather dependent. This means that the dates may change depending on the weather. Drivers should be prepared to avoid the construction route as much as possible. The signposted diversion leads from Preetz via K53, L49, and B76 to Rastkrug, before taking K53 to Schellhorn and back again. However, passage remains possible for cyclists, pedestrians, local public transport and emergency services.

Tips for affected road users

IHK München erläutert wird. Hierzu ist es wichtig, dass die Baulastträger transparent kommunizieren, um die Verkehrsteilnehmer bestmöglich zu informieren.

It also doesn't hurt to regularly check the status of the construction sites. Sometimes several construction agencies are responsible for similar projects at the same time, which can make communication channels complex. If you have any questions about the construction site, interested parties can contact both the construction site itself and the responsible authorities.

The safety regulations, such as those provided by the K53 learning test are of central importance for all road users. In any case, it is advisable to keep the road rules in mind in order to be safe not only on the construction site, but also in everyday traffic. After all, ignoring these rules can result not only in fines, but also in serious accidents.

A multi-dimensional picture of the traffic situation is created not least by the large number of construction sites and traffic projects that are currently being discussed or implemented in the region. It is all the more important to find out about this in advance and plan the trip well prepared. Requests for information about construction sites are at a reasonable level, but the anticipation of smoother traffic conditions is understandable.
