KARla on tour: Creative mobile brings art and encounters to Stormarn!
Cultural funding in Stormarn is experiencing a new upswing! The Stormarn 2025 cultural fund is currently on tour through the Bad Oldesloe district and offers citizens exciting creative offers. The main prize winner Inken Kramp from Rehhorst has created a special highlight with her project “KARla – The Creative Mobile on Wheels”. This mobile creative offer is intended to contribute to the participation and participation of the communities and thus strengthen the local social structures, as bargteheideaktuell.de reports.
With a generous funding commitment of 10,000 euros from the Stormarn district, the project can now tour through the villages. KARla, a small bus, acts as an innovative place for creative activities and topics such as “PRINT YOUR PLACE” and exchanging village stories. The Cultural Fund jury emphasized the importance of low-threshold offers and meeting spaces that enable people to actively participate and contribute their voices.
A strong network for culture
The cultural fund is not just a local project, but part of a larger trend that also includes the nationwide model program “LOKAL – Program for Culture and Engagement”. This program promotes long-term networks in cities with fewer than 100,000 inhabitants and helps create innovative cultural spaces where people can come together. With up to 240,000 euros per project for four years, a significant contribution is made to strengthening social structures. More information can be found on the [Federal Cultural Foundation] website (https://www.kulturstiftung-des-bundes.de/de/projekte/transformation_und_zukunft/detail/lokal_programm_fuer_kultur_und_engagement.html).
On the occasion of the Stormarn Cultural Fund and as part of these funding programs, creative people have the opportunity to address questions about democracy and cultural challenges. A creative exchange is encouraged that takes into account social debates and also brings to the fore the relevance of art and culture for the community.
Creativity for everyone
The Culture Fund jury is made up of various experts, including political representatives and cultural workers who are known for their expertise and commitment. With members like Kirstin Krochmann from the CDU and the artist Kathrin Ollroge, it is ensured that a wide range of perspectives are incorporated into the decisions. The jury sat on June 23rd and announced the winner, who is now looking forward to implementing her project kultur-stormarn.de.
The focus is on innovative strength and collaborative collaboration. The goal is clear: to promote creative methods, participatory projects and strengthen civil society engagement. Especially in times of digitalization and social challenges, it is important to find new ways to bring people together. And this is exactly where the cultural fund comes into play.
In the coming months, the progress of the KARla project can continue to be followed on the Cultural Fund website. The opening of new cultural and creative spaces is a small but important step towards a vibrant, social community from which everyone benefits.
