Big fair on Lake Constance: Ferris wheel, innovations and tradition!

From November 7th to 11th, the picturesque shore area on Lake Constance in front of the harbor entrance will be transformed into a playground for visitors of all ages. The traditional fair, which has a long history dating back to 1652, entices visitors to stroll and feast with around 60 rides and over 140 stalls. The event is part of the Lindau Autumn and promises a colorful mix of enjoyment and thrills.

It gets particularly festive in the streets of the old town, where the traders have delicious offerings on offer. Visitors can look forward to handmade hats and scented soaps that invite you to browse. The highlight of the fair? An impressive Ferris wheel that, at 35 meters high, offers a spectacular view over Lake Constance and the Alps. A real must for every fair goer!

Rides and attractions

For the adrenaline junkies among the visitors, there is the popular chain plane “Alpenflug” – located right next to the Mangturm. New this year is the “Avenger”, a fast-paced ride that features exciting twists and trendy lighting effects in the bus parking lot in front of the art museum. If you want to take it a little easier, you can have fun on the children's carousels or the bumper cars.

But it's not just the rides that put you in a good mood. The numerous snack stands make it possible to fortify yourself with delicacies - there is something for every taste! And on shopping Sunday, November 9th, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., you can even do a little shopping to your heart's content, as long as your stomach isn't too full.

Family friendly finish

The fair ends on Tuesday November 11th with a special family day. There are reduced fares here, so even younger guests get their money's worth. Getting there is uncomplicated: whether by bus, train or the Vorarlberg Lines ships – there is a suitable arrival solution for everyone.
