The Lindau Fair, a highlight in the event calendar on Lake Constance, is just around the corner! From November 7th to 11th, 2025, the waterfront promenade in front of the harbor entrance will be transformed into a spectacular folk festival. There is something for every taste among the around 60 rides and around 140 retailers. There's everything here, from handmade hats to scented soaps, and of course the culinary delights you'd expect at a good fair. [Schwäbische] reports that the fair has a tradition that dates back to 1652 and is part of the Lindau Autumn.
What would the fair's attractions be without the famous Ferris wheel? At a proud 35 meters high, it offers a breathtaking view over Lake Constance and the Alps. Another highlight is the new “Avenger”, a fast-paced ride that delights with exciting twists and spectacular lighting effects. For the little visitors there is fun on children's carousels and lots of play stalls, including throwing and shooting ranges, which are very popular. [Lindau.de] states that there will also be a shopping Sunday on November 9th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., which will bring the shops in the old town to life.

In total, thousands of visitors are expected on the island who don't want to miss out on experiencing the hustle and bustle. The grocery store is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., while the rides provide thrills until 9:45 p.m. Especially on Tuesday, the last day, there is a family day with reduced fares - perfect for spending an adventurous day with the whole family. A little tip for everyone who wants to arrive by car on November 7th: The island access will be temporarily closed because the Sparkasse 3-Country Marathon is taking place. Here it is important to plan your journey well!
