A total of almost 11,900 people were registered as unemployed in the Allgäu, which means a decrease of more than 770 people compared to September. The development is particularly positive among young people under the age of 25, whose unemployment has been reduced by almost 21 percent. Long-term unemployment has also decreased, by 1.7 percent. The decline of 2.2 percent among job-seekers over 50 is also notable.

Another bright spot: the number of job vacancies is continually increasing. In October, 6,580 open positions were recorded, almost 100 more than in the previous year.
