A very special occasion is coming up in idyllic Schemmerhofen: the Keck bakery is celebrating its 125th anniversary! From November 13th to 15th, a big party will be organized for all neighbors, friends and valued customers on the premises of the bakery and the Nahkauf market. The village community is invited to celebrate together and enjoy the delicious delicacies the bakery has to offer.
The promotional prices on many baked goods and groceries are particularly attractive as a thank you to our loyal customers. At the Keck Bakery, we traditionally bake without ready-made mixes or baking products. This is not only a reason for delight for the palate, but also testifies to the quality that is very important here. A special focus is on the use of in-house natural sourdough and spelled pre-dough, while the ingredients such as flour, water, salt and yeast are of regional origin. The pumpkin seeds even come from Austria!
Anniversary program for young and old
A highlight of the anniversary celebrations is the big raffle, which makes every ticket number a winner! The main prize? A shopping voucher worth 250 euros – a real treat! The proceeds from this raffle go to the German Red Cross Schemmerhofen and the Schemmerhofen Fire Department, which makes attending the festival even more meaningful. For the little guests, the children's wheel of fortune will make their hearts beat faster as it spins, with lots of great prizes on it.
If you don't just want to snack on these days, but also want to find out more about the quality of the products, you can take part in a coffee tasting, where the beans from the “Rösternest Illertissen” are served. A lottery mobile will also provide entertainment and games. An anniversary market, where around 40 regional and seasonal vendors will present their products, will round off the celebrations.

The Keck bakery is not just a shop, but an integral part of life in Schemmerhofen, Biberach and Laupheim. With a dedicated team of around 100 employees who have been with the company for a total of 750 years, great value is placed on tradition here. Some of the employees from twelve nations have been part of this successful bakery for 10 to 40 years. The motto “Made in Schemmerhofen” is more than just a saying – it reflects the deep-rooted connection to the region and underlines the importance of resting the dough, which is crucial for the high product quality.
The event promises a true feast for the senses and a journey into baking tradition.
