Handball highlights: Biberach triumphs, Tübingen still without a win!
What's new in women's handball? On October 8, 2025, fans experienced numerous exciting games, especially in the national leagues. There were several impressive games in Season 2. TG Biberach was able to defeat SG Ober/Unterhausen 34:26, with Groner bearing the brunt with an incredible 15 goals for his team. TSV Neckartenzlingen also showed strong and won against SG Hofen/Hüttlingen with 44:33, thanks to an equally impressive performance from Fellberg, who also scored 15 goals. In season 3, however, there was a bitter setback for SG Tübingen: They lost against SG Maulburg/Steinen 26:40 and were heading for their third defeat in the third game.
HSG Hossingen-Meßstetten had to admit defeat to SV Allensbach II with 34:35, although Wendel scored 16 goals. A bright spot was the victory of Spvgg Mössingen, who defeated VfL Nagold 30:19. The next games promise more exciting handball feeling: TG Biberach and TSV Neckartenzlingen will meet on Friday. On Saturday, TV Weilstetten will fight against HSG Hossingen-Meßstetten, while SV Allensbach II will challenge Spvgg Mössingen. And don't forget: Sunday will be hot with the encounter between SG Ober/Unterhausen and SG Hofen/Hüttlingen and the duel between TSV Neckartenzlingen and HSG Owen-Lenningen.
SG Tübingen: ups and downs
SG Tübingen has had a bumpy start to the season. However, after two defeats at the start, there were bright spots. A new player from the Czech Republic, Daniela, strengthened the team and gave a breath of fresh air. In the next game they want to get their first win against HCL. The first half of the season was mediocre with only one defeat against Hbi Weil/Feuerbach and a draw against HSG Albstadt, but by the winter break the team was in the middle of the table.
The breakthrough came in the second half of the season - only one defeat and one draw gave SG Tübingen third place in the table and a jump into relegation to the association league. There, a 3-goal lead was fought for in the first leg and the second leg in Tübingen was also won, which secured promotion to the association league. The team not only thanked the club for their support, but coach Felix Pagallies was also named Coach of the Year.
Outlook for the coming season
The numerous departures, including players such as Ina, Jule, Jana, Vivien, Mareike, Leo and Luca - as well as assistant coach Timon - pose challenges for the reformation of the team. But new talents, like Paula, Celina, Jantje and Helen, bring a breath of fresh air into the group. Preparation for the new season is already in full swing and the team has prepared intensively for the challenges ahead. A first test against Dornstetten from the Oberliga Südbaden was successful.
SG Tübingen calls for support for its games - whether home or away, the team counts on its loyal fan base. The association league will be an exciting chapter for the team, which is ready to face the new challenges. True to the motto: team spirit is not only evident on the field, but also at various events outside of the game!
