Art that floats: Christine Schön's enchanting exhibition in Biberach

The exhibition “Beyond Gravity” opens on July 2nd at the Uli Lang Gallery in Biberach with the fascinating oil paintings by the artist Christine Schön. Until July 31st, visitors can immerse themselves in the floating worlds that she has created with her works. How Schwäbische.de reports, Schön deals with the transitions between the visible and the inexpressible in her pictures. The works of art are neither completely representational nor completely abstract, but rather convey memories of flowers and clouds and express an atmosphere of lightness and calm in change.

The painter, known for her cloud and sky images, uses warm earth tones and lighter surfaces in her oil paintings to achieve a transcendent effect. Most of her works are in a round shape (Tondo), which symbolizes cyclical and infinite aspects. Another source, Art portal BW, emphasizes that Schön demonstrates a good knack for large formats and a high level of sensitivity when painting. Her works play with shapes and colors and create connections between the visible and the imaginary world.

Insights into Christine Schön's work

Christine Schön has already realized numerous exhibitions, including the exhibition “Viewpoints” in the Villa Streccius, which will be on view from December 2nd, 2023 to January 14th, 2024. Her studio exhibition with Peter Brauchle in the Altes Schlachthof from July 14th to 16th, 2023 shows the broad spectrum of her artistic work. Her drawings, which are also associated with a sense of clouds, were carried out using pencil on paper and expand the theme of her paintings.

A central aspect of Christine's art is the communication process in which she involves the viewer. Her works should not only be viewed, but also felt and experienced. In terms of her representations of the sky, she is inspired by Baroque fresco painting, but completely leaves out the ecclesiastical figures. It creates experiences that are free of dogmatic guidelines and open up new perspectives for the audience.

At a time when the connection between art and current social developments is becoming increasingly important, Christine Schön's paintings are a beautiful expression of philosophy of life. By playing with her color palette of light and ocher tones, delicate blue and rose, she creates works that take the viewer into another world. In an art scene that includes major artists such as Andy Warhol and Gerhard Richter, Schön stands out with her unique approaches that create a harmonious connection between the spiritual and the material.

For art lovers who are interested in the inner experience of colors and shapes, the exhibition in Biberach opens up many new areas of experience.
