Winter is approaching and the forecasts show that we can expect the first strong onset of winter from Thursday. Drivers will have to prepare for slippery roads, especially in the morning and evening hours.
The Biberach district is well prepared in the region. There are 36 gritting and snow removal vehicles available here, and a stock of 4,000 tons of road salt ensures that the roads remain safe. Up to seven vehicles are in use in the road maintenance depot in Tettnang, supported by 1,000 tons of salt and 65,000 liters of liquid salt for the preventive combating of slippery roads. The winter service starts at 2.30 a.m. in order to meet the challenges.
Comprehensive road safety measures
It is clear that the safety of road users comes first. In Bavaria, the state construction administration has even larger capacities at its disposal with 400,000 tons of salt supplies and 880 vehicles World informed.
