Big family reunion in Lahr: Chrysanthema delights with acrobatics and laser show!

The big final weekend of Chrysanthemum is just around the corner! There will be a lot on offer again in Lahr on November 8th and 9th, 2025, especially for families and children who can look forward to an exciting program. The event, organized by the Waldkindergarten Flitzebogen e. V., has been running through the city since October 25th, but now things are getting really colorful again.

On November 8th, the big family day awaits all visitors: varied stage shows will take place on the E-Werk stage from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., including acrobatics, comedy and dance, presented by the versatile troupe “CIRCLINO”. From 6 p.m. there will be a live performance by the swing dance band around Helmut Dold on the market square, which will certainly create a good atmosphere.

Family program without limits

The children's program leaves nothing to be desired. A games and participation program will be offered in the town hall park from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Here, little visitors can lend a hand in the children's blacksmith shop, show off their skills at knight's castle crossbow shooting or get creative in the leather workshop. You can also make your own candles in the beeswax candle station. The forest workshop offers exciting activities provided by the forest kindergarten.

A themed circular route called “Sagenhaft!” provides visual enjoyment and takes visitors on a journey through colorful stories. The café in the large fire tent (tepee) will also be open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., where you can fortify yourself with coffee, cake and other delicacies.

A very special visit to the theater

The weekend is rounded off by the children's theater “Princess and the Pea”, which will be performed on November 8th and 9th at 4 p.m. in the Stiftsschaffneikeller. Fun for the whole family, and the entrance fee is just 7 euros!

On Sunday, November 9th, the badenova closing day will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., with shopping opportunities on the market square. The stage program also includes a special performance by the “Chrysanthemum Theater” with “The Miracle of Lahr” at 2 p.m., followed by further musical highlights until the evening.

A grand conclusion to the event is then crowned with an impressive laser show. For wine lovers, there is also a selection of exquisite wines from the Breisgau wine region on the market square. The chrysanthemum is a brilliant finale to an eventful celebration for the whole family!
