Ilona Hahn triumphs at the village cup shooting in Weitingen!

The eagerly awaited village cup shooting took place in picturesque Weitingen on September 4, 2025. At the traditionally festive closing ceremony in the shooting hall, not only was the happy get-together celebrated, but the best shooters were also honored. The spectators were pleased to see a diverse field of participants, in which a total of 78 amateur shooters, including 46 men and 32 women, competed in 16 teams. Deputy chairman Kevin Schwab skilfully led the award ceremony, which was accompanied by a convivial twilight drink.

Top placements in the individual rankings

At the top of the winner's podium in the men's individual ranking was Mario Akermann with an excellent 165 rings. Following closely on his heels were Steffen Schneider with 164 rings and Robin Schwab, who secured third place with 161 rings and achieved the best individual shot with 10.8 rings. In the women's category, Ilona Hahn showed impressive performances and secured first place with 167 rings. Her competitors, Larissa Leins and Jaqueline Schwab, followed with 163 and 158 rings.

Team competition with an exciting outcome

In the team competition, the women's teams impressed, with “Eutis” claiming first place with 446 rings. The “No Names” took second place with 419 rings, followed by the “Blitzeisschecken” with 401 rings. For the men, the competition was no less exciting: “Small animal calibers” won with 466 rings, while the fire department with 441 rings and the bed porters of the fool’s club with 397 rings came in second and third place. Certificates and prizes for the best shooters rounded off the celebratory award ceremony.

Achievements in shooting sports

Not far from Weitingen, the Hahn shooting club recently caused a stir in the association's top league. On January 29, 2025, the team played against SV Bremen and defeated them 3-2. SV Hahn set a new team record by scoring a total of 1955 rings, while SV Bremen achieved 1936 rings. Matias Ligaard from SV Bremen was the best shooter of the day with 400 rings, while Julia from SV Hahn scored 393 rings. In the overall ranking, SV Hahn and SV Middels placed on equal points, with Middels securing third place due to the direct comparison.

The great atmosphere in Weitingen and the impressive performances of both shooting clubs show how lively the shooting scene is in the region. It remains to be seen what exciting competitions and successes await us in the future. Shooters from all over the area are warmly invited to be part of this very special experience!
