In the early morning hours of August 16, 2025, a dramatic rear-end collision occurred on the BAB 6, which resulted in serious but not life-threatening injuries for a 51-year-old Ford driver. The incident occurred at 1:15 a.m., shortly before the Walldorf motorway junction in the direction of Heilbronn, like MRN News reported.
A 24-year-old driver of a Hyundai drove into the rear of the Ford for reasons that are still unclear. The force of the impact was so strong that the Ford was turned left, rolled over several times and finally came to rest on its roof. While the Hyundai driver was uninjured, his older colleague was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Consequences for traffic and the investigation
After the accident, the right and middle lanes were closed for approximately three hours, causing significant traffic delays. The material damage is estimated at around 50,000 euros. The Walldorf motorway police have started investigating the exact cause of the accident in order to shed light on the circumstances that led to this incident.
