Discover the adventure: explore the bustling path in the Bruchwald now for free!

The forest adventure trail “Wuselpfad” in the Bruchwald Löchgau invites all nature lovers and adventure seekers to go on a journey of discovery. Stuttgart News reports that this exciting path will be accessible free of charge until July 18, 2025. Depending on your mood, visitors can experience nature in all its diversity over a distance of around one to one and a half kilometers and even look for the mysterious wood mouse Wusel, which has disappeared without a trace in the Bruchwald in recent weeks.

The Wuselpfad is not only a simple hiking experience, but also includes eight imaginatively designed stations. These are specifically designed to appeal to both little explorers and big adventurers. Here the participants learn interesting facts about forest dwellers such as foxes, owls and woodpeckers and get to know the valuable forest habitat. At every stop and every station, a continuous story is told, which encourages the little ones present to follow the trail of Wusel and acquire new knowledge together.

For the whole family

The circular route is suitable for families with children aged around four and over as well as for kindergarten groups. Participation is completely uncomplicated - prior registration is not necessary. “With this offer we want to get children excited about the forest and at the same time offer them the opportunity to exercise in the fresh air,” explains Dr. Simon Boden, head of the forest department at the Ludwigsburg district office, in a conversation with Ludwigsburg district. Visitors can pick up a treasure map at the starting point of the trail or conveniently download it online.

Sturdy shoes and tick protection are recommended for trips to the forest. The organizers also ask that you do not damage the stations and do not anticipate solutions to the puzzles - after all, you want to keep the excitement going until the end!

A contribution to forest education

Such adventure trails like the Wuselpfad are not only a fun factor, but are also part of a larger educational approach that is in the Forest education is anchored. Here, nature is used as a learning environment to sensitize children and young people to ecological connections. These activities not only promote physical fitness, but also children's social and emotional development. Studies show that children who participate in such programs often develop better cognitive skills.

During the Corona period, the Wuselpfad was launched as an alternative forest educational measure and has enjoyed great popularity ever since. After the closure in Löchgau, the path will soon continue to Korntal-Münchingen, where new adventurers await it.

Photos from the experiences can be shared on social media using the hashtag #WuselExperiencePath. Enthusiasm for nature is therefore not just a personal experience, but also a community project that can be shared and celebrated via digital platforms.
