This bar, which can be found opposite the Jesuit Church in the Catholic Church's House of Encounters, has no obligation to confess or consume. Everyone can come together here, regardless of their faith or social status, to talk to each other. Olivia Costanzo, a dedicated pastoral worker, runs the bar and makes sure everyone feels welcome. Not only does it offer a pleasant atmosphere, but also delicious snacks such as coffee, cookies and sliced ​​watermelon - all free of charge.

The idea for anrog:bar came about a year and a half ago and has attracted many visitors since then. Every week the bar opens its doors on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The concept is simple: this is not about making the best impression of the Catholic Church, but rather about encouraging real conversations. Olivia has a keen sense of who is ready to talk and who is just looking for a bit of relaxation. Some visitors even talk about “miracle moments” they experienced in the bar.

A place of relaxation

This openness creates a valuable alternative to conventional cafés and offers people in difficult life situations a protected space.
