Mannheim: Record collection campaign brings 901 kg of shoes for good causes!
The joy over a remarkable result is making waves in Mannheim. From November 2024 to February 2025, the members of the Kolping Family Mannheim-Central the shoe collection campaign “My Shoe is Good” and were able to achieve a record-breaking result: over 901.19 kg of shoes were collected during this time. This represents the highest collection result of all time and shows the immense willingness to help of the Mannheim community.
The donated shoes will come to you International Adolph Kolping Foundation which supports numerous social projects and vocational training centers. This initiative is part of a nationwide campaign by Kolping Society was brought into being. Since 2016, more than half of all Kolping families in Germany have taken part, and the results exceed expectations every year.

The collection campaigns run throughout the year and the shoes can be dropped off at any time at the Kolpinghaus (R7, 9-11). In addition, at Kolping Family events there were special collection containers that were literally overflowing.
A strong network
The Mannheim-Zentral Kolping Family is just one of around 2,200 Kolping Families throughout Germany, which together have around 205,000 members. The activities include not only collection campaigns, but also educational evenings, community festivals and youth work.

In addition, the Kolping family participates in the completely sustainable disposal of shoes that are no longer wearable through collaboration with Kolping-Recycling GmbH, which ensures that good material is not lost.
In this way, the Kolping Family not only shows its social commitment, but also offers a platform to integrate the importance of sustainability and social responsibility into people's everyday lives.
