Quiz show drama: Moderator Bommes on the verge of collapse!

An exciting evening in the popular quiz show “Gefragt – Gejagt” thrilled the audience on July 10th and provided entertaining moments that even threw presenter Alexander Bommes off his feet. How HNA reported, the candidates fought in a team to collect as much money as possible in order to then prove themselves in the final round as a group of four.

A strange misunderstanding caused a lot of excitement: one participant strictly adhered to the rule that answers should not be read out, which led to confusion among the other players. During one round, candidate Sandra guessed “MOS – EL” in response to the question of what cannot be found on any license plate of a German motor vehicle. Hunter Sebastian Jacoby, however, had the right solution ready: “IS – AR”, which he also explained plausibly behind the scenes, as “MOS” stands for Mosbach in the Neckar-Odenwald district.

A fun evening

Candidate Wolfgang quickly spoke up and left the audience amused with his humor. He claimed to have known the correct answer all along. Moderator Bommes, who not only asked the questions but also laid down the rules, repeatedly explained: "Informing people is allowed. Predicting things is forbidden." Wolfgang caused laughter with his funny interjections and ultimately managed to defeat Sebastian Jacoby.

With a high level of risk, Wolfgang also contributed 25,000 euros to his team's total. But despite the high stakes, the game ended empty-handed for Wolfgang and his teammates. In the final quick guessing round, Jacoby was able to answer all questions quickly and correctly. This shows the highs and lows of the exciting quiz game.

Looking into the future

There will soon be a new edition of the quiz show, because the 796th episode of “Gefragt – Gejagt” will air on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 6:00 p.m The first broadcast. In this episode, Janine Kunze, Frank Roelfs, Anastasiia Jannsen and Benjamin Winkler compete against one of the hunters who has confirmed success at German championships and European championships.

The quiz show has made a name for itself in Germany and impresses with a concept in which a team of four candidates competes against a member of the quiz elite.
