School camp Strumpflbrunn: 55 years full of adventure and community!

On Sunday, July 21, 2025, the School camp Strumpflbrunn celebrated a big celebration for the 55th anniversary. Numerous guests from the areas of politics, education and culture gathered on the site to celebrate this special anniversary. A musical opening by the youth brass orchestra created the right atmosphere right at the beginning, while District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier emphasized the importance of the school camp for the region in his speech.

Particularly noteworthy is the commitment that Thomas Raab from Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg praised. He emphasized the importance of the school camp for children and young people, who can gain unforgettable experiences here. Also the greetings from District Administrator Dr. Achim Brötel, the deputy mayor Norbert Bienek and Wolfgang Klein contributed to the festive atmosphere.

A day full of highlights

The focus was also on the handover of the newly designed hidden object book “Strumpflbrunn is wimmelts in the school camp”, which captures typical situations from the school camp in a humorous way. The hidden object book is available in the dining room for a donation of 10 euros or more. This book is intended not only to entertain guests, but also to strengthen their connection to the establishment.

Another highlight of the festival was the symbolic planting of a winter linden tree, which not only symbolizes the friendly relationships between the guests but also serves as a living souvenir of the anniversary. Visitors had the opportunity to write their wishes on black and white postcards and attach them to the linden tree.

A variety of activities for young and old

The varied participation program was a guarantee for a good mood. With creative stations, magic, games and regional catering, there was something for all ages. A wheel of fortune with small gifts and vouchers provided additional interest among the little visitors. Guests were also able to make their own magic wands and magic bags and immerse themselves in a fantastic world in three 15-minute magic shows and fairy tales.

The culinary delights were also taken care of: a selection of non-alcoholic drinks, beer, freshly baked cakes and even an ice cream truck with various types of ice cream made for a successful meal. Vegetarian and vegan delicacies were also on the menu - there is something for everyone.

The Strrumpflbrunn school camp, which opened in 1970, has since welcomed over 118,000 children and young people. The foundation is supported by the Ludwigsburg district and the Ludwigsburg district savings bank.
