During this time it is important to support people in need and create a space where listening and community are the focus.

Around 400 volunteers are needed for this important initiative. The tasks are varied: from serving food to wiping the table and welcoming guests. If you have a good knack for people or simply want to do something good, you can contact Diakonie OAB in Ravensburg now: by phone at 0751/95223-120 or by email at [email protected]. But be careful, the deadline for registration is November 14, 2025.

Added value for the community

The Vesperkirche is aimed at a broad target group: the needy, the homeless, people with psychological difficulties, seniors as well as families and refugees find support here. According to the Johannes Ziegler Foundation Anyone who wants to help can ensure that those in need can enjoy warm food, conversations, hairdressers and prayers in a welcoming setting. Cultural offerings are also being planned to enrich the lives of those present.

Vesper churches have a long tradition in the region. According to the Diakonie Württemberg The first vesper churches were founded in the 1990s and have since made an important contribution to social equality and support. A total of 46 vesper churches are already being planned in Baden-Württemberg for the winter of 2024/25.

These valuable encounters begin with the opening of the Vesperkirche in Ravensburg on January 19, 2026 with a festive service. The organizers promise a colorful program that will not only be a highlight for those in need, but also create a space for community and understanding.

The call to everyone who wants to get involved is clear: show your heart for others and become part of this great project!
