Since July 3, 2023, water withdrawals from many public bodies of water in the Reutlingen district have been prohibited. Public use remains severely restricted for the period until September 4, 2023. However, there are some exceptions: water withdrawals from the Neckar, the Erms, the Echaz, the Großer Lauter (downstream from the confluence with the Gächinger Lauter), the Zwiefalter Aach and the Kesselbach are still permitted.
