On October 28, 2025, the ceremonial closing event of Nabada 2025 took place in the foyer of the town hall in beautiful Ulm. Numerous participants, helpers, rescue and law enforcement officers as well as the creative minds behind the spectacular themed ferries were invited. The guests also included music bands and companies who supported the prizes with donations in kind. This celebration not only concluded the Nabada's busy week, but also recognized the most innovative ships in this year's competition.
Congratulations go to the “Youth Active in Ulm” group, which was able to win the Kübeles Cup with its theme “Ulm has the biggest church tower”. This marked the end of the winning streak of the popular group Fan-Attack-Ulm, which was often at the top in previous years. In his speech, Ulm's mayor Martin Ansbacher emphasized the commitment of everyone involved and thanked them for their creative contribution.

Creativity on the Danube
The Nabada is not only a festival but also a competition of creative ideas. This year, more than a dozen elaborately designed themed boats were presented that addressed current social issues such as climate protection and urban development. Voting for the best ferry was possible online from Monday, July 21, 2025, 6 p.m. to Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 2 p.m. Participants were rewarded with attractive prizes, including vouchers, tickets and books.
The variety ranged from “Keep a cool head in heated times” from the JVA Ulm to “Luxury driving license items” from the DLRG Ulm Youth. Groups and clubs worked for a week on building their themed boats, supported by the Ulm construction depot. Michael Schwender, the “boss” of the theme boats, already reported on the exciting process at a state show.
With proven humor and spectacular performances, the creative minds ensured an unforgettable Nabada. The great attractiveness of this event is reflected in the active participation and the beaming faces of the spectators and participants.
