Something is happening in Friedberg when it comes to women and their networking! The second Friedberg Women's Winter Night will take place on January 16, 2026 under the patronage of District Administrator Dr. Klaus Metzger at the Vinzenz Pallotti School. This event, created by the Catholic Women's Federation (KDFB), brings together women from different generations and backgrounds to network and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. 120 women took part in the first women's winter night, which took place two years ago - a great success that shows how popular such meetings are!

The district shows solidarity and supports the event with a donation of 1,000 euros and the provision of the school. The organizers, consisting of the KDFB, the St. Georg Girl Scout Association (PSG), the West Family Support Center and the women of the Ottmaring parish, have put together a diverse program with impulses, workshops and encounters. Participation should be open to all women, regardless of financial possibilities, with a voluntary cost contribution of between 5 and 25 euros, depending on self-assessment. LRA Aichach-Friedberg reports that the theme this year is “Heavenward Earth.”

A program full of inspiration

What exactly can the participants expect? In addition to a philosophical-theological impulse from Sabine Stötzer from Augsburg, Hannah Stockhammer will enrich the stage with her rousing poetry slam. A meeting coffee, where soups and bread await the ladies, provides conversation and culinary delights - an ideal opportunity to make new acquaintances in a relaxed atmosphere.

A special highlight is the “heavenly oasis”, where women can relax and leave everyday life behind them. In the spirit of the KDFB, which has been committed to church and society for almost 100 years and has around 280,000 members nationwide, topics that are important for women of all ages should be addressed in this protected framework. The Friedberg Women's Association also stands for educational opportunities, community life and the exchange of experiences.

This is how you become part of the women's winter night

Registration is possible until January 7, 2026, either via email elisabeth.wenderlein@bistum-augsburg.de or in writing via the mailbox in the St. Jakob parish office. It's a wonderful opportunity for women to connect and be inspired. Those interested can also find a calendar of events with similar events Women's Network, where business women, volunteer women and cultural women network and support each other. They regularly offer workshops, seminars and networking events that are relevant to women in all areas of life.

So, dear women from Friedberg and the surrounding area: take advantage of this opportunity to connect with each other and discover new horizons. The 2nd Friedberg Women's Winter Night will definitely be an inspiring experience!
