Integreat app now in Thai: Support for new immigrants!
In an increasingly globalized world, new immigrants need reliable help to find their way in their new surroundings. The Integreat app offers exactly that: digital guidance for newcomers. This platform has been active in the Aichach-Friedberg district for over three years. As [lra-aic-fdb.de] reports, the latest addition to the app, which now also offers content in Thai, is another step in the right direction.
The Integreat app is used in around 120 districts and independent cities nationwide and provides information in 18 languages. These include areas such as living, work, education, health and leisure. For example, users can find information about authorities, offices and advice centers. The app is not only user-friendly, but can also be used offline. This year there have already been 20,000 hits on the app, with an average of 2,200 clicks per month in the district. A total of 26,465 views were registered last year.
Diverse language selection for all needs
The content of the Integreat app is currently available in numerous languages: from German and English to Turkish, Arabic and Thai, which has now been added. Languages such as Urdu, Serbian and Albanian will also be offered this year. These extensions were created in close coordination with the immigration authorities. According to [integreat-app.de], the platform allows you to choose your own language and translations are available at the touch of a button.
Integreat is a non-profit and open source offering that has proven particularly useful, especially during the Corona pandemic. The digital platform ensures that multilingual information is available - essential support for people moving to new regions. The positive response from integration officers and local representatives underlines the effectiveness of the platform.
Integration in society
The Integreat app not only makes a decisive contribution to integration, but also offers an insight into the status of participation in Germany. The Federal Government's 14th Integration Report, published by the Commissioner for Migration, Refugees and Integration, highlights the successes and challenges of integration in Germany on almost 400 pages. As [integrationsrechner.de] reports, 25% of the population in Germany lives with a history of immigration, while over a third of children and young people are affected.
The report shows that while progress has been made in education, there is still room for improvement, particularly when it comes to diversity. Minister of State Alabali-Radovan highlights the successes of integration, especially in the labor market. However, it remains clear that the road to full participation is still long.
The Integreat app supports this process and helps new immigrants integrate into society more easily. Tanja Staimer from the Education Office of the Aichach-Friedberg District Office is available if you have any questions about use or the app. You can also find more information about the app on the [integreat-app.de] website.
Digital integration is an important building block for harmonious coexistence in the immigration society. The Integreat app shows how modern technologies can help improve participation.
