Something is happening in the Augsburg district when it comes to environmental protection! The new “Augsburger-Land-Becher” project brings an innovative concept to life that not only aims to increase awareness of our leisure region, but also actively contributes to waste avoidance. The waste management company (AWB), in conjunction with economic development, has brought a reusable reusable cup onto the market, which is now available via the official web shop: www.augsburger-land-becher.eventmeile.de.
The idea behind this environmentally friendly cup is simple: single-use waste should be avoided and sustainable event formats should be promoted. District Administrator Martin Sailer emphasizes how important this step is for environmental protection and regional identity. The cup comes in two practical sizes, making it suitable for both large parties and children's events:

The cups are cleaned according to the highest environmental standards, and use is free of charge for the organizers during the special funding phase until the end of 2026, as long as an application is submitted after receipt of the invoice.

In eight REWE stores in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, borrowed RECUP reusable cups can be returned via reverse vending machines. The aim is to make reusable products even easier and more attractive.
