Unemployment rate in the district drops to a historic 2.2 percent!
The current developments on the labor market bring positive news for the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. With an unemployment rate of just 2.2 percent in October 2025, the district has the lowest value in recent months. This is just below the average of 3.1 percent in the surrounding catchment area and indicates a positive economic situation. Compared to September with a rate of 2.4 percent and August with 2.5 percent, this is another positive step forward. On November 1, 2025, a total of 1,625 people were registered as unemployed, which corresponds to an increase of 470 unemployed in the year compared to the previous year.
Favorable seasonal conditions influence the labor market
The mild weather conditions in October made a decisive contribution to the fact that more work could be carried out, particularly in seasonal industries such as construction, gardening and landscaping and the catering industry. These positive external circumstances helped many companies to fulfill their orders on time and thus improve the hiring situation. However, it should be noted that 830 job offers have also been eliminated compared to the previous year, which indicates certain challenges.
The gender ratio of the unemployed is also remarkable: 54.5 percent of the unemployed are men and 45.5 percent are female. Around 40 percent of this group are foreigners. Another alarming point is the age distribution of the unemployed, with almost 10 percent being under 25 years old and over a third being over 50 years old. In addition, 16 percent are registered as long-term unemployed and over 8 percent as severely disabled people.
Changes at the employment agency
For all those who need support, an appointment with the employment agency has been required since October 20, 2025, which can be done both by telephone and online. This innovation is intended to simplify the job placement process and increase efficiency.
Developments on the labor market reflect a dynamic and complex situation that offers both challenges and opportunities. However, progress must be monitored continuously in order to address potential difficulties in a timely manner.
In the coming months it will be exciting to see how the information develops and what measures will be taken to further improve the employment situation.
