Disloyal visit: 17-year-old without papers wearing sexy underwear at a police check!
There are strange stories that happen at the border - and the recent events on the A93 near Kiefersfelden are no exception. On July 23, 2025, the federal police took into custody a 17-year-old Serbian woman who was traveling unaccompanied in a coach with a Slovakian license plate. The young traveler did not have the necessary documents to enter Germany, which led to an unexpected stop during the check. How News Today Reportedly, during the search, an officer found a forged document under the teen's bra that stated she was an 18-year-old Croatian.
However, the document wasn't the only thing that stood out. When her luggage was searched, a large amount of lingerie was discovered, further complicating the situation. A criminal complaint was filed against the 17-year-old due to forging her ID and attempting to enter the country illegally. Finally she was returned to Austria and immediately handed over to the Austrian police.
Importance of controls
The Rosenheim Federal Police Inspectorate, which is responsible for this region, carries out regular checks to combat cross-border crime and illegal migration. These measures are particularly important for safety in rail traffic on around 370 kilometers of railways and around 70 stations and stops in the region. In the past, several people have been arrested at this border who also tried to enter illegally - many of them with forged documents, as the inspection documented.
An example from November 2023 shows that checks regularly reveal people traveling with fake passports or impersonating other people. Among those arrested was a 28-year-old Croat who was traveling with a Bosnian passport and was already wanted by the German judiciary. Another case involved an 18-year-old Syrian who traveled on a stolen Irish passport and was eventually handed over to Austrian police.
A look at other cases
These incidents are not only limited to the German-Austrian border. Several forged documents were also discovered at Memmingen Airport. Three Albanian nationals presented fake return tickets to present their entry as legal. But the officials saw through the forgery and turned away the travelers, which led to criminal proceedings being initiated. Similar cases, such as that of a 21-year-old woman from Iran who tried to enter the country with a fake Albanian passport, show that controls at borders and airports are essential.
The challenge of detecting fake documents and ensuring security remains high. The Poles and Austrians must continue to show a good hand in policing the borders in order to guarantee public safety.
