CSD in Bayreuth: Never quiet again! - Pride Week starts soon!

Ehrenhof, 95444 Bayreuth, Deutschland - in Bayreuth it will be colorful in summer! The Queer Bayreuth e.V. has scheduled Christopher Street Day (CSD) for July 26, 2025, and the motto could not be more fitting: "Never quiet again". This is not just a personal statement, but part of a nationwide campaign that takes part in numerous CSDs in Germany and draws attention to the current challenges for the LGBTQIA+community. In view of the increasing social and political tensions for queer people, such events are more important than ever.

The celebrations begin with a Pride Week, which is to take place from July 21 to 27, 2025. Here visitors can experience many facets of queer culture in a colorful program. The kick -off event will be a HIV & Sti Schnell test at the University of Bayreuth, followed by a queer gaming event. A drag workshop and a queer zoo tour are also on the program. The Pride Week not only promises informative, but also entertaining offers for all fans of the queer community.

CSD highlights and important information

The CSD itself starts on July 26th at 3:00 p.m. at the Ehrenhof. From there, the route leads via Maximilianstrasse, Schulstraße, Kanalstraße to Friedrichstrasse and back to the honorary courtyard. The large rally takes place at 4:30 p.m., which is characterized by music, speeches and cultural contributions. The musical highlights include appearances by Bridget Brilliant and the band of Schrödinger's pigeon. Political voices like that of Dr. Andreas Zippel, the second mayor of Bayreuth, and Sina Mehrdad von for one another in Upper Franconia, will also be heard.

The rally is supported by numerous organizations, including Amnesty International and the AIDS consultancy Upper Franconia, which underlines the importance of the event. But that's not all: In the evening, a CSD finger party in the Glashaus Bayreuth rises, where students and participants can enjoy reduced admission.

safety precautions and social importance

In view of the increasing violence against LGBTI+people around the world, which often remains unpunished, it is all the more important that such holidays take place. According to Amnesty International, LGBTI+rights are systematically violated, especially in countries such as Iraq, Uganda and Turkey. Discrimination and violence against queer people are sad reality in many nations, which are often fueled by political rhetoric. Amnesty documents these grievances and shows how significant use for the rights of the LGBTI+ community is.

in Bayreuth, the CSD is also supposed to send a strong sign against these injustices and remind of the situation worldwide. In success and participating in the CSD, the endeavor is reflected in creating an open and inclusive society.

Further information is available on the Queer Bayreuth website and the supportive organizations. The anticipation for a colorful summer full of pride and solidarity is already noticeable!

be there and let us celebrate for a colorful future!
