Unknown perpetrators caused a stir in Coburg last week when they broke into apartments and single-family homes in several cases. The police report that the break-ins took place between the evening of October 22nd and the evening of October 26th and that the perpetrators specifically targeted jewelry. According to the Bavaria Police The first break-in occurred on Emil-Bätz-Straße, where the burglars entered the house via the terrace door. The second case occurred over a period of around five hours on Friday evening on “Am Steinberg” street, where the perpetrators broke open a garden gate and also stole jewelry.
In another incident, an apartment building on Gothaer Strasse was targeted by thieves. Unknown people broke into an apartment there between 1:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. The front door was completely breached and the perpetrators left a mess behind, scattering jewelry and even stealing a furniture safe from a closet.
